Funds Administrator in Bristol

A leading Global Investment Firm based in Bristol requires a keen and intelligent Funds Administrator to join their team. This role would be a brilliant for someone with a passion for Investments and Finance. It would be great if you could also bring some previous industry experience, but this is not essential as training can be provided.


We are welcoming applications from those within the industry as well as graduates with a genuine interest in developing a career within the Investments sector (graduate CVs must demonstrate some evidence of this).

Main Duties:


  • Dealing with IFAs and clients in relation to their queries.
  • Liaison with internal divisions, including Legal, Technical, Compliance and Sales functions.
  • Interacting with Banks, Discretionary Fund Managers, Custodians, other Life and Pension providers, Stockbrokers and other Financial Institutions.
  • Placing trades and global settlements including FX - involving a variety of securities and investments products.
  • Management and Reconciliation of DFM and externally held funds - daily cash reconciliations, cash management, stock reconciliations, with custodians, Fund Managers & Investment Managers.
  • Pension & Life Fund administration.
  • Pricing, Corporate Actions & Dividends processing.
  • Asset classification in line with FCA guidelines.
  • Preparation of ad hoc and periodic fund valuations.


Experience Preferred:


  • A relevant degree (economics/maths/business studies etc.)
  • Some previous Funds based experience would be an advantage.
  • A good understanding of global financial markets.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • A good understanding of the financial world.


Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000 -  £23,000 /year

Investments Assistant in Bristol

A leading Investment Firm in central Bristol requires an intelligent and enthusiastic Investments Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with  some existing Investments Administration experience who wants to take a step up in the investments sector.


This person will join as the most senior team member and will report directly to the Investment Administration Manager, assisting him on senior level duties including process analysis and improvement, system testing and rolling out new operations functions. It is anticipated that this person could become Team Leader after settling into the role.


The modern offices are close to Temple Meads train station and so are easily commutable.


What's involved?


  • Reporting directly to the Investment Administration Manager and being their second in command
  • Dealing with new business applications for ISA/SIPP/GIA/BondsChallenging existing processes and implementing new ones
  • Liaising with Business Analysts and Developers on rolling out new systems and processes
  • Arranging payments to Fund Managers
  • Dealing with client withdrawals and adviser fees and making any necessary payments
  • Processing all income and accumulation dividends
  • Accurately allocating payments
  • Setting up and maintaining regular contributions and withdrawals.


What experience is needed?


  • Some knowledge of ISAs/SIPPS/GIAs
  • Some previous office based experience
  • Good Excel skills and IT knowledge
  • Adaptable, energetic and results orientated
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Ideas driven with a good approach to team working.


Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,000 -  £24,000 /year

SIPP Subject Matter Expert in Bristol

A thriving Investments Services firm in Bristol is looking for a SIPP expert to join their Operations division.

Role outline:


  • Supporting  in-house advisers with their use of services and solutions through your technical knowledge of SIPPs
  • Acting as the SIPP subject matter expert across the  organisation with particular focus on the operations teams
  • Delivering of internal SIPP training to staff and teams
  • Reviewing all SIPP related processes and procedures relating to SIPP
  • Responsible for keeping up to date on all SIPP regulatory and compliance issues
  • Carrying out quality assurance audits for SIPP related processes and procedures
  • Creating in-house SIPP knowledge-base articles
  • Identifying process improvements and implementing changes
  • Dealing with external parties form time to time to resolve technical SIPP queries
  • Overseeing SIPP regulatory returns


Skills & Experience required:
 

  •  SIPP knowledge gained in a platform or similar environment
  •  Ability to communicate and influence all levels of personnel
  •  Previous experience of training and sharing regulatory changes
  • IOC/RO4 qualifications preferred
